I grew up in South London (Camberwell) listening to Helen and still love to listen to her fabulous voice its amzing that she had such a great voice at the young age of 14. That was the age I was when my family moved from Ireland to London. Hi Helen,having just been to the Gospel outreach at Mildenhall my husband & I were so blessed as you shared your story of Yeshuas amazing love & grace. I first heard you at the Brighton Hippodrome in 1961 I think,I am same age as you,a weeks difference. Its so good to hear what God has done,for you to come into the complete experience of finding Yeshua in the old & new testaments. We went in two of your final concerts in Sevenoaks & Croydon,amazing,keep on in obedience to Gods call on your life,love you in Jesus,Shalom.

This morning I have sent a complaint to the BBC for not including Helen in the BBC FOUR Programme Queens of British Pop. While watching the first episode I thought I had missed the opening of the programme as the first singer featured was Dusty Springfield. I then watched the catch up programme this morning and no Helen. I can't understand how they could have omitted Helen I was a fan right from the beginning in 1961 when she was 14yrs and bought most of her recordings and went to the concerts in my area. I'll calm down now but thought it an injustice on the BBC's part.

I had the pleasure of meeting Helen on Sunday 26 Aug this year on a sad occasion ( the stone setting of one of her cousins) so today I did an online search for her and was pleasantly suprised to read her about her quest for spiritual happiness it now seems a case of walking forward to happiness, it would have been nice to have chatted with her knowing what I now know, if you read this Helen I was the one introduced by Jas. health and happiness Norman

I found her on You Tube looking for a song that enjoyed early in her singing career which I guessed 1959 to 1961. However, I could not remember the name of the catchy song but enjoyed all of her songs all over again. I remain a old fan of hers which dates back to days
when I was stationed in England with the US Air Force, Leicestershire.
